Hydro Development Engineer

Our client, a major New Zealand energy company, is seeking a Hydro Development Engineer to join their generation team.
This is a critical role in which you will investigate and develop new hydro generation projects, both as a team leader and as part of project teams.
There are multiple HPP development opportunities in the pipeline and the client is commited to rolling out a number of new projects at the same time over the medium term.
Candidates will need to have proven experience developing hydropower projects. You will need to possess strong evaluating, analytical and problem solving skills to set up methodologies and develop strategies for progressing new project opportunities.
Also requisite are excellent communication skills and commercial acumen to achieve effective business solutions and relationships at all stages of the project, from identifying, consenting, design and tendering through to implementation.
