Associate Director, Investment, National Logistics

My client is a leading National Logistics business with a high quality portfolio of land and completed logistics assets based in prime locations across the UK. With a dedicated team based in Warwickshire, my client's ambition is to grow the portfolio significantly within five years and with this in mind, they are looking to secure an entrepreneurial and knowledgeable Investment Associate Director to help drive this forward.
The Associate Director will be a key member of the National Logistics team, helping the Group work towards their objective of creating and maintaining the best logistics portfolio in the UK. The appointed candidate will be responsible for all investment related activity within the National Logistics team (including identifying and executing acquisitions and disposals of income producing assets, portfolio analysis and coordinating the bi-annual valuation process) with the primary objective of ensuring that the portfolio maximises total property returns and outperforms relevant benchmarks.
Key responsibilities will include:
Build and maintain market presence and a strong network within the Midlands logistics market, to proactively identify value creation opportunities.
Identify and execute sales and acquisitions as part of the capital recycling programme, ensuring deal activity is delivered commercially but also diligently, and at optimum value, maximising Total Property Return.
Direct and manage an external extended team of agents and consultants, advisors, solicitors in support of commercial objectives, and against agreed KPI's.
Lead, manage and coordinate the investment activity within the business unit asset planning process in line with business objectives and agreed commercial priorities.
Work closely with colleagues within the business unit to assist the business in making performance enhancing property decisions, i.e. asset management initiatives and developments
Carry out ad-hoc projects as required by the MD, National Logistics
Work closely with the Central Investment team including ensuring Group Policy and procedures are applied accurately and consistently, during the bi-annual valuation process and on transactions
Maintain close collaboration with the investment professionals in the other UK business units
Manage and coordinate bi-annual valuations
Coordinate, evaluate and disseminate the IPD portfolio bench-marking
My client is seeking an Investment Professional with a proven track record of executing deals in the Midlands region with strong transactional experience in the UK logistics investment market demonstrating maximised returns. You will have good experience and strong competency of Portfolio investment valuations with excellent excel modelling and cashflow development skills.
