Cobalt is looking for a Building Manager on behalf of one of the UK's leading property management brands. Our client boasts a renowned track record in the industry of developing and empowering staff, and are now looking to expand their ever-growing and talented team with an experienced Building Manager. Our client is dedicated to being environmentally friendly, and has recently spent a large amount of money in upgrading the building plant and fabric, presenting you with an opportunity to gain valuable experience for a market-leading business, enhancing your CV in a highly competitive market.

Are you a dedicated Building Manager who wants to showcase your skills and build upon your experience in this exciting market?

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing renovations, refurbishments and building projects

  • Setting and managing service charge budgets with emphasis on cost-efficiency

  • Ensuring that facilities within the property are well-managed and effectively maintained

  • Managing on-site staff to ensure they are contributing to delivering maximum efficiency as part of your direct line management responsibility

  • Managing space within the building

  • Communicating with local authorities where required

  • Contributing to the environmentally friendly approach adopted by the company

  • Carry out regular inspections of the building fabric and maintenance to ensure health and safety practices are being followed

  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensuring that records are being kept which relate to the property so any issues can be immediately addressed within a logical timeframe

  • Regularly communicating with contractors to ensure that the best practices are being followed in line given guidelines

  • Placing emphasis on delivering exceptional service and ensuring all staff members are following these expectations

An IOSH is an essential requirement for this role. However, training will be provided to you to achieve further qualifications to help you maximise your abilities to carry out the responsibilities in this role effectively.

As the building will be a multi-tenanted commercial building, we are looking for someone with a strong track-record in managing similar multi-let office developments.
