Cobalt is looking for a modern Building Manager to lead the TFM provision within a 150,000 sq ft mixed use development, with commercial multi-let offices, retail units, and a small number of residential AST units.

Nestled in between the City and the West-End, this development is seeking a top-tier total facilities professional who can combine quality technical management of the asset with a first-rate customer service for your tenants. Our client is huge on ESG, and is looking for a like-minded Building Manager with a passion for people, property, and sustainability.

Having experienced a meteoric, and organic growth over the last two years, our client is especially looking for career-driven individuals who ideally want to develop themselves further. A good number of senior leadership within the business have been promoted into their current roles, which is a model our client is looking to replicate further.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a top-tier total FM service throughout the development;

  • Building a lasting working relationship with occupiers;

  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and sustainability legislation, including meeting the requirements for ISO14001 and ISO 45001;

  • Setting and managing the service charge budget;

  • Overseeing the planned preventative maintenance program for the building plant and fabric, including minor CAPEX works as may be necessary;

  • Working alongside other building managers in the area, to share best practice and improve service delivery;

  • Managing the work of external contractors for both hard and soft services, ensuring SLA's and KPI's are kept to.

Our client is looking for an individual with experience in managing or assisting with the daily running of a commercial mixed-use building, including common areas. An IOSH is essential, whilst service charge budget experience is desirable.

Equally important to your technical skills will be your softer skills and ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including the client, your occupiers, suppliers and more.
