Development Coordinator - Client-side Commercial fit-out - Reading

Our client is a leading global investor, developer and operator with a multi-billion-pound asset portfolio. Due to expansion of their office assets, they are looking for a Development Coordinator to join the team based in the Reading area and assist on high profile commercial developments across the UK.

Remuneration:

£40,000 - £50,000 + leading benefits package + Bonus

The successful Assistant will be joining a dynamic business with over £7 billion assets under management and an expanding development and office asset portfolio. They will be involved in high profile developments including new build and refurbishments within their southern business parks, residential developments and Grade A offices predominantly located along the M4 corridor; but also covering London, Glasgow and the rest of the UK. Working within the asset management and development team you will support the appointing and managing of external professional and design teams and over-see the contractor work from concept and planning to completion.

The current development team of 50 are looking for a dynamic individual with good commercial acumen who report into senior stakeholders within the business and have future involvement in the wider business parks strategy.

This progressive role encompasses organisation skills including but not limited to; contract administration, raising POs, identifying and delivering objectives and adhering to government standards. This role will manage the delivery of projects upwards of £150,000 construction cost.

Due to the location of the business parks the role will be based circa 3 days in Berkshire and 1 or 2 days in the London office / working from home. There will be local travel involved due to the location of current sites in the Berkshire/ London area.

Requirements:

  • Chartered MAPM / MRICS or equivalent preferable but not essential.

  • Experience in office CAT A/B fit-out, refurb and new build projects in the commercial sector

  • Experience with traditional forms of contract

  • Expereince in raising POs and administrative tasks

  • Working knowledge of CAD advantageous but not essential

  • Commercially astute with good leadership and communication skills

  • Ambitious self-starter

  • UK driver's licence
