EBME Manager

I am currently working with an NHS Trust based in the North East who are looking for an EBME Manager to join them on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential to extend or become a permanent member of staff

You will be responsible for;

• Ensuring the operational management of medical engineering services for the organisation and for management of the organisation's Clinical Engineering Services Trust wide, including staff management within the department.

• ensuring an effective and compliant planned preventative and reactive maintenance regimen along with ensuring that all Clinical Engineering assets are kept available. Including confirming any contract work, is carried out to standards and specifications across the whole range of medical devices and ensure best value for money is achieved.

• Providing expert specialist and professional expertise to other estates staff, senior management of the organisation and external organisations supported by Estates providing specialist advice on a whole range of medical devices technical issues.

You will need to be;

• Be degree educated in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent subject

• Preferably be registered as a Clinical Technologist or corporate member of appropriate institution

• Have extensive practical experience in managing a busy EBME department

• Have engineering or equivalent and knowledge and experience through working directly in the field of medical device servicing and maintenance for a substantial time, and supervision of technical team members.
