Cobalt are currently working with one of Europe's premium real estate companies, with a large portfolio of flagship assets, spread across major cities in their search for Financial Accountant to join initially on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

This Financial Accounting role will responsible for the accounting across the varied property portfolios and Joint ventures to ensure adherence to financial reporting standards, and support the commercial decisions.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the Financial Controller in preparation and review of the financial statements for the varied properties and joint ventures

• Undertake analysis such as variance analysis and forecast preparation for group reporting

• Be responsible for the compliance, VAT and adherence to UK GAAP and IFRS

• Prepare and complete the quarterly reporting schedules for use by commercial teams

• Undertake detailed reconciliations and reviews by partnering with the relevant internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• Ideally ACA/ACCA Qualified with a strong knowledge in real estate financial accounting

• Proven experience in preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns etc.

• Knowledge of reporting deadlines for listed entities is highly desirable

• Individuals currently working within medium to large accounting practices will be strongly preferred.

• Must be able to commit to a 12 month FTC with the probable view of the role becoming permanent
