Maintenance Engineer

Cobalt have been exclusively instructed on a unique Maintenance Engineer position in Northampton for one of the most prestigious estates in the country.

They are seeking someone with hands on experience to run the day to day reactive and planned maintenance of the estate, from painting and decorating, PAT Testing, overseeing mechanical plant, Fire Alarm Testing, BMS maintenance and more.

In this highly confidential place of work you will work closely with a curator, the facilities team which consists of 4 contractors, and report into the Building Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaise with external contractors for outsourced services as well as supervision and monitoring of external contractors

• Carry out Legionella Monitoring ensuring Control in compliance with ACOP L8

• Ensure all mechanical plant is functioning correctly daily

• Carry out external audit report remedial works

• Carry out weekly Fire Alarm Testing, Fire Extinguisher Checks and monthly fire door checks

Job Requirements;

• Hold 18th Edition electrician qualification

• Experience of working as an electrical mechanical engineer or fitter

• Have excellent verbal, written and communication skills at all times

• Be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team

• Good time and organisation skills

• Have the ability to multi-task
