The Role
The firm are seeking a Senior Associate/VP to join its Real Estate & Infrastructure Team in London to participate in the identification, underwriting and execution of capital raising mandates. This role provides an excellent opportunity for the candidate to work with a deeply experienced team and gain exposure to high quality general partners, operating companies and managers of real assets and complex transactions. Responsibilities:
Work directly with senior team leaders and provide support in all aspects of a transaction to assist in driving client origination and deal execution
Evaluate prospective mandates by carrying out private market research, potential investor analysis and market mapping
Assist in performing due diligence for potential opportunities including credit analysis, financial modelling, financial and operational analysis
Create marketing materials including pitch books, portfolio snapshots, offering materials and research materials in support of transactions and other business development activities
Provide support for transactions including developing timely responses to investor inquiries and other processes necessary to reach financial close
Track the team's activities with potential clients and investors and provide related deliverables including preparing meeting memos and investor trackers
Prepare industry and market research for use by the team
The Candidate
Experience within real estate and/or infrastructure transactions and/or underwriting
Demonstrable history of strong execution across programmatic JVs, SMAs, club deals, recapitalizations, and co-invests, in addition to traditional blind pool capital raises
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal with accuracy and depth)
Strong quantitative skills, financial modeling experience required
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work as part of a team with integrity and professionalism
Ability and willingness to interact daily with global deal team members across a wide array of projects
Candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of initiative and self-motivation and must be able to work independently, across a variety of responsibilities and at a fast pace
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Previous experience in an investment bank, real asset advisory firm, or real asset investor is preferred
Strong desire to learn
