Residential Development and Land Investment Manager

Salary £70000 (OTE)

Location: London Bridge

Market-leading, award-winning estate agency are looking for an experienced Residential Land and Development Manager to lead and motivate a strong New Homes team, optimise all opportunities to sustain and grow the portfolio and drive market share.

The Role:

  • Develop the business plan to maximise the revenue contribution the land and new development portfolio makes to the commercial success of the division

  • Identify new business opportunities through existing clients and work with the Land and New Homes sales team to increase our new development portfolio and revenue stream

  • Drive quarterly targets, set individual targets, monitor and motivate your team to achieve them

  • Work proactively with Director to create a marketing plan and coordinate other initiatives to drive business

  • Identify and introduce clients to potential land or new development opportunities via direct instruction or acquisition basis

  • Presenting to developers and landowners to secure new acquisition opportunities

  • Identify and introduce land opportunities to potential buyers

  • Receive offers from potential buyers, advise the landowner and manage acquisitions, advising on all legalities

  • Reporting performance of Land and development portfolio and recommending activities for improvement

  • Review the operational performance of your team periodically, identify and implement areas for improvement

  • Deal effectively with any complaints, escalating any through the formal complaints procedure as necessary

  • Provide advice and guidance on relevant legislation and the company's terms of business

  • Establish, monitor and manage the customer service, operational and administrative standards across all activities to ensure they are at the highest standards at all times

  • Ensure the highest levels of compliance with company policies, industry codes of practice and legislative requirements and audit periodically taking the necessary corrective action where required

  • Recruit, develop and retain the best available talent and provide ongoing training

You Will Be:

  • An experienced land manager with a track record of success in land sales and acquisitions on behalf of clients

  • An experienced leader of people with strong coaching and feedback skills and routinely develops talent

  • Full understanding of the regulatory framework and legislation relevant to land transactions.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the London property market and the influences that affect success

  • Highly numerate - is able to calculate floor dimensions, scales and fees accurately

  • Credibility and presence, an excellent networker and relationship builder, skilled at pitching

  • Commercially focused, entrepreneurial and results-driven to consistently meet targets.

  • An effective team player who will work 'hands on' to ensure the business achieves its objectives

  • Highly effective negotiator, tenacious and resilient to close deals and support team to do the same

  • Has the agility required to effectively reprioritize own and the team's workload as business needs dictate
