Senior Fund Accountant

Cobalt are working with a pan European Real Estate company that offers investment opportunities across property and infrastructure assets. Our client is looking for a Senior Associate who will have day-to-day contact with senior stakeholders and to take ownership for the effective management of all aspects of SPVs, and Funds. You will be working closely with the Manager and other departments where required.

Primary responsibilities:

• Review the bookkeeping being prepared by the third parties

• Prepare the commercial and GAAP adjustments required for Fund consolidations, cash flows, NAV reconciliations and distributions

• Manage the creation and liquidation of SPVs

• Fully understanding the tax structuring and mechanics of transactions

• Support the buy side or sell side due diligence, managing the completion mechanics, managing funds flows and integrating the acquisition into an existing structure

• Lead the inputs from accountants, tax advisors, auditors and property managers

• Have a good working knowledge of all types of taxes (direct and indirect)

• Manage audits, tax declarations and board meetings

Skill set required:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)

• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS

• Very good knowledge of consolidation

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Previous experience within in Real Estate funds
