We’re excited to be attending the IHEEM Conference which returns this year in a brand-new hybrid format: with both an online conference and an in-person exhibition!

That’s right – for the first time since 2019, you’ll have the opportunity to network with and chat to people in real life (if you want to that is). Three members of the Cobalt team will be attending the event in Manchester this October – and we can’t wait to see you.

If you don’t already know, the IHEEM Conference is the UK’s largest event for healthcare estates, engineers and FM professionals.

The conference itself will take place over 5 days, from 18-22 October 2021. The online programme of speakers and presentations enjoys a packed schedule over the full five days, with the two-day exhibition at Manchester Central on 19th and 20th October.

The online programme will cover the following topics:

  • Monday 18th October – Hospitals of the Future

  • Tuesday 19th October – Infrastructure & Resilience

  • Wednesday 20th October – Science & Innovation

  • Thursday 21st October – Workforce

  • Friday 22nd October – International Perspective

You can view the full online conference programme on the Healthcare Estates website.

It’s great to see the hybrid format being adopted - it will offer real choice for professionals to engage with Healthcare Estates in a way that suits them, and they feel comfortable with. There are already over 170 exhibitors signed up for the two days in Manchester, so for those who do attend in-person, there will be plenty to see and do.

With the new format, there will be no live guest speakers or presentations taking place in Manchester – everything will take place online. However, a multi-stream programme will deliver over 100 sessions and more than 80 hours of live and on-demand content with a wide range of speakers from across the profession. Plenty for us all to sink our teeth into!

Connor, Charlie, and I will be in attendance at the exhibition in Manchester - we are thrilled to be able to meet up with current contacts again and are equally looking forward to meeting new ones to support their recruitment needs.

Our time is already filling up quickly, so please contact us if a meeting at the conference would be of value to you, and we can get this arranged.

We look forward to seeing you all soon.
