January 2022 sees the launch of another Cobalt Academy - and we’re looking for our next intake of future Cobaltians to join this year’s programme – could you be one of them?
Perhaps you already have experience in sales, construction or real estate such as estate agency; maybe you've undertaken further study through an apprenticeship, college course or degree. Whatever your background, if you can demonstrate WHATEVER then this Academy is for you. We’ve had huge success with the Academy in previous years and have lots of home-grown talent within Cobalt, so we can’t wait to get started once more.
In addition to the Academy, we’re also expanding across all of our teams thanks to a successful year, so it really is a great time to join the business. The longevity of our staff is incredible at Cobalt, much stronger than our competitors. We really can offer a career to those who join us – the training, culture and people are all fantastic. Here are the key things you need to know about the Academy, including how to apply:
The Academy official starts on 24th January 2022 – it’s an 8-week structured programme which will teach you everything you need to know about the real estate and construction sectors and recruitment. By the end of the programme, if you pass, you will be offered a position as an Associate Consultant at Cobalt.
The Academy is run by Jack Thompson, our Talent Acquisition Manager: Jack has been with the business for 8 years and knows all there is to know about Cobalt and recruitment, having worked as a recruitment consultant before his current role.
The programme consists of three rotations: you’ll get to focus on different teams and will rotate every two weeks, giving you a chance to see which teams might suit you best and where you might succeed more.
Your training programme will begin with two days of intense training, learning all about Cobalt and the real estate and construction sectors, to set the scene for you.
You’ll also receive extensive training at multiple points throughout the programme from our external trainer.
At the end of the programme, you’ll take part in one-to-one panel interviews, a presentation and a feedback session – then you’ll get to enjoy our passing out ceremony and lunch with the team to celebrate!
After eight weeks in the Academy, you can feel confident you’ll go from someone who knows nothing about real estate recruitment, to becoming an Associate Consultant and ready to start billing and building your own desk.
You’ll also have the chance to earn additional monetary rewards for any candidates you bring on board during the programme.
Our in-take/assessment days for the 2022 Academy will run on 11th and 13th January, so be sure to get your application to Jack before these dates if you want to be considered for the 2022 programme.
The assessment days will be a chance for everyone to take part in a number of individual and team exercises and get to know the business and people in it, to see if you’ll be a good fit for the Academy and Cobalt.
