Bridge Engineer

Role: Bridge/Senior Bridge Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

Cobalt are working with an award-winning, employee owned consulting engineering practice working internationally. Their engineering services incorporates designs for infrastructure, building structures, civil engineering, facades and construction support.

Key Responsibilities
* Design delivery. Prepare calculations, drawings and other documents
* Work independently on bridges of low/medium complexity
* Work with minimum supervision on more complex bridges
* Deliver multiple projects

Key Requirements
* Be/willing to be a technically excellent engineer, with established skills and delivery capability
* The ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way

Key Experience
* Bridge design experience in the bridge environment with different bridge typologies
* Experience in bridge inspections and assessment, including cast iron/jack arch, steel and masonry structures is a plus
* Bridge strengthening schemes is a plus
* Experience and/or understanding of temporary Works within the bridge environment
* Good understanding of Construction Methodologies
* Familiar with NWR and/or HE approval processes
* Relevant UK and international standards including EC, NWR, DMRB
* Demonstrable Structural engineering skills

Additional experience
* Experience with composite bridge design and steel bridge design
* Experience with complex structures including cable stay, balanced cantilever, launched bridges, high speed bridges

Software Competencies
* Midas preferable
* Other software

Qualification
* MEng/BEng in Civil, Structural Engineering or similar
