Cobalt is partnering with a bespoke property management brand that is looking for an Operations Manager to join the on-site team for a bustling mixed-use estate in the heart of Manchester. Mixing sleek, sustainable office buildings with vibrant retail and leisure spaces, as well as a public realm space that hosts numerous events, you'll be managing first-class real estate facilities, forming a key part in delivering the top-tier total FM service to match.

You'll join a market-leading property management business that has built a reputation for providing an innovative, flexible service for their customers and for developing their team to be the best they can be in their chosen fields. Their company MO revolves around promoting internally wherever possible and investing in their people as much as in their properties be it through internal training or sponsoring through external qualifications.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Undertaking regular inspections of the estate;

  • Managing the work of contractors for M&E, Security, and cleaning;

  • Ensuring the effective maintenance of common areas, plant rooms, and public realm;

  • Organizing any necessary works and ensuring they are conducted in line with H&S legislation, with relevant risk assessments in place;

  • Assisting with setting and managing the service charge budget;

  • Building lasting working relationships with occupiers, helping to foster a sense of community within the estate.

Our client is seeking a hands-on individual who is keen to build upon their existing FM experience under the tutelage of the Estate Manager. An IOSH qualification is essential, but further qualifications will be supported as you develop within the business. Estates experience is not required but working for either a landlord, or managing agent previously would be a distinct advantage for your application.
