Are you an Assistant Facilities Manager or Assistant Building Manager looking to take the next step in your career?

Cobalt is recruiting for a leading Managing Agent seeking an Assistant Building Manager to join the on-site management team at a prestigious Grade A commercial office building in the City of London.

Working closely with an experienced Building Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day operation of the property, manage contractors and service partners, support occupier relationships and ensure the building continues to operate to a first-class standard.

This would suit someone with existing experience in commercial Facilities Management who wants greater exposure to the management of a high-quality, corporate office building.

The role:

  • Support the Building Manager with the daily operation and management of the property.

  • Manage and monitor on-site contractors including M&E, cleaning, security and other service partners.

  • Build strong relationships with tenants and act as a point of contact for occupier queries.

  • Carry out regular building inspections and ensure any actions or defects are followed through.

  • Assist with health & safety, statutory compliance and risk management across the property.

  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure agreed service levels and KPIs are achieved.

  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works.

  • Assist with service charge expenditure, purchase orders and budget monitoring.

  • Support occupier engagement initiatives and help deliver an excellent customer experience.

  • Work closely with the Building Manager and wider Property Management team on the continued improvement of the building.

About you:

You will ideally already be working within commercial property or Facilities Management as an Assistant Facilities Manager, Facilities Coordinator, Assistant Building Manager or similar.
