Recruitment Consultant, Residential Development & Town Planning

About the Role

This master developer was set up to build the beautiful and sustainable places that our country needs. They continue to believe that to become 'outstanding', new places need to pass two crucial tests:

  1. Will new residents be proud, not just of their new home, but of the place they live in? Will it, from day one, be somewhere they want to invite their friends and family to visit?
  2. Will their neighbours, some of whose families will have lived in the area for generations, feel that our work has improved their lives?

To do that this company needed to offer a new form of Master Development: one which didn't only plan an integrated place, with all the requisite infrastructure, before selling parcels of lands to housebuilders but which genuinely put people first.

That means getting to know people across the full breadth of a community and listening (and not just during a formal consultation). It means adapting plans to reflect the real needs of neighbours. It means conducting in-depth research with people yet to even consider moving to the place to understand exactly what they would want from it should they move there one day.

The idea has become a reality. In a short period of time this approach has chimed with landowners and a broad range of projects means we are looking to recruit likeminded people who want to become part of a very special team.

Why You?

  • You love your work but are looking for a new challenge. You have successfully been involved with large developments and revel in the responsibility but want to approach things a little differently.
  • You 'get' our people-first approach and the way we apply it to the places we create. You'll also understand that's how we recruit. We are building a team of highly skilled and successful people who are prepared to go out of their way to support each other. We put people first in the office too.
  • You enjoy working with and alongside people and sharing ideas. You understand the importance of a rigorous process whilst remaining open to new approaches.
  • You understand that great communication means being relevant, clear and empathetic whether you are presenting to a landowner or chatting to a colleague.

You'll Enjoy:

  • Exposure to the full development lifecycle.
  • Autonomy and trust to run with key workstreams on the two projects you'll be supporting, backed by an experienced and supportive team.
  • A flexible, values-led culture with hybrid working and real investment in your growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with land parcel sales, development partner selection and board-level reporting.
  • Support planning and infrastructure delivery, including managing S106 obligations and consultant teams.
  • Liaise with local interested parties, attend community panels, and translate community needs across teams.

Essential Requirements:

  • 2-4 years' development experience, including planning or infrastructure coordination.
  • Exposure to land acquisitions or disposals, ideally on large-scale schemes.
  • Confident managing external consultants and communicating with senior stakeholders.

Curious but not ready to commit? Let's talk. Send what you have - even if your CV isn't polished yet. Reach out for a chat in confidence.
