About the Role

Are you seeking a fresh environment to further your progression towards a future leadership position with an incredibly flexible and experienced team, currently consulting on an exciting variety of projects from major urban extensions to landmark central London developments?

I am working closely with a well-established consultancy in central London, looking for a Planning Consultant to join as an Associate Director.

This close-knit team have a reputation for maintaining standards of excellence across their well-balanced business, providing you with the infrastructure and support to excel in this role.

You will be offered support in your development with the opportunity to build your network with existing clients, whilst generating new business in your sector of choice.

You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):

  • Managing projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role
  • Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively
  • Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process
  • Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly
  • Business development and working up your own client base, or bringing your own
  • Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process
  • Mentoring and helping to manage junior team members

You will ideally:

  • Have at least 7 years within planning - ideally in consultancy
  • Strong development management skillset and expertise
  • Be MRTPI or equivalent
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent written work
