About the Role
Senior or Associate Town Planner in the London area, with strategic residential planning experience?
We are working with a well-established independent planning consultancy in London, driven by industry figure heads and a collaborative, well-balanced team that are passionate about town planning.
As a Principal or Associate Planner, you could accelerate your development by leading on projects across the strategic residential and commercial sector, in close collaboration with a well-connected Director. You could also collaborate with other Directors and the wider team, consulting across the broader residential and commercial sector. You would have lots of freedom to foster a rich client base of your own as you progress towards an Associate Director role with the support of a high-performing team.
Our client regularly reviews performance and is keen to promote and reward their team for collective and individual success. A healthy compensation package is available, including a discretionary performance related bonus and enviable benefits.
The team have an impressive project track record, from delivering bespoke projects in the RBKC to sports stadia and urban extensions. They regularly organise charitable initiatives, host industry networking events and enjoy annual trips abroad.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing major projects and overseeing smaller development management processes, and assisting senior colleagues on more major developments.
- Cultivating and maintaining client relationships by offering precise advice and effective communication on a regular basis.
- Managing pre-application tasks and guiding planning applications through the development cycle.
- Writing representations to local authorities for potential site promotions.
Ideally, you should possess:
- Minimum 2 years of professional planning experience within consultancy, developer or local planning authority (LPA).
- A strong skill set and expertise in development management.
- Ideally working towards your RTPI APC, recently submitted or MRTPI.
- Excellent written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
