Kate Peers-McQueen
Kate Peers-McQueen
Associate Director, Residential Development & Town Planning

About the Role

We are partnered with a successful development and regeneration consultancy to recruit into their property team, due to an increased workload. This business care more about excellent place-making, design, sustainability and community-building, than profit. They have an excellent track record with both private and public sector clients across all disciplines and have gone from strength to strength through the last few years, growing. The company works with a variety of clients, including public sector organisations, corporations, local authorities, housing association and private sector businesses, working on: viability advice, s106/CIL obligations, feasibility studies, analysis, strategic development advisory, identifying investment opportunities, asset analysis and place-making through masterplanning.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a medium-sized team working on challenging projects, working closely with insightful colleagues as well as industry-leading Directors, who are hands on. They are a small and friendly team of professionals with an enviable and proven track record of supporting and developing their staff into senior property professionals with strong reputations.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Working on development consultancy across the public and private sectors

· Undertaking development appraisals and financial modelling

· Identifying strategic investment opportunities

· Applications for funding to support project delivery

· Strategic consideration of assets and property

· Reshaping the role of the public sector within the built environment

· Preparing business cases

· Preparing fee proposals and tenders

· Liaising with clients and other consultants, such as planners and architects

Ideally you will:

· Be MRICS or keen to become RICS qualified (depending on level!)

· Have at least six months within a development, regeneration or valuations role, ideally within a consultancy practice or local authority (and more experience for Surveyor level)

· Be adept at using Argus and Excel

· Strong property understanding across the wider sector including planning

· Be an excellent communicator with good technical and writing skills

This really is a brilliant opportunity to join a very successful business, where you will be leading on developments and strategies on behalf of clients.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible - so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
