About the Role
An exciting opportunity to move into a non-fieldwork, office-based role within a growing ecology consultancy. This position is ideal for a senior-level ecologist ready to focus on project delivery, client communication, and mentoring junior staff-without the muddy boots.
As Project Manager, you'll manage a wide range of ecological projects while guiding early-career ecologists as they develop technical skills. You'll serve as the key client liaison, oversee project progress, and ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate ecological projects from briefing to delivery
- Support and mentor junior ecologists in planning and reporting
- Act as main point of contact for clients and collaborators
- Schedule survey resources with internal teams
- Prepare and review fee proposals and project documentation
- Shape and grow this newly created role within the team
What You'll Bring
- A solid background in ecological consultancy or conservation
- Experience in habitat and protected species surveys
- Strong understanding of survey methods, mitigation, and best practice
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confidence in client liaison, project quoting, and team support
- Passion for ecology with a desire to help others grow
- Full CIEEM membership desirable
