About the Role

A leading multidisciplinary real estate consultancy is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join its well-established Planning team based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent Graduate with up to 1 year's experience, or soon-to-be Graduate to begin their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

 

The Role:

The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of planning projects, including strategic site promotions, residential and commercial developments, and urban regeneration schemes. Working alongside experienced planning professionals, the role offers exposure to clients and local authorities, providing a strong foundation for professional growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals
  • Conducting planning research, site assessments, and policy analysis
  • Supporting community engagement and consultation activities
  • Preparing reports, planning statements, and other key documents
  • Monitoring local and national planning policy developments
  • Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and consultants as part of a multidisciplinary team

Candidate Requirements:

  • A degree (or near completion) in Town Planning, Geography, Urban Studies, or a related discipline
  • Eligibility for RTPI accreditation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • An interest in the planning system and the built environment
  • A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute
