My client, a FTSE 100 property business with £13bn of assets under management, is seeking a Property Accountant to join their growing property accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career in property accounting while working on offices, retail, and logistics assets across central London.

You will manage a portfolio of properties within the Property Accounting team, providing support to site teams, surveyors, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Produce month-end management accounts, including VAT, bank, cash, and control account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate balances for rent, service charge, and recovery funds.
• Manage cashflow for each property to ensure suppliers are paid.
• Raise income demands in line with internal timetables.
• Assist with year-end accounts, independent accountant reviews, and annual service charge budgets.
• Support site teams and surveyors with financial guidance, quarterly service charge reviews, forecasts, and ad-hoc queries.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and assist with new site setups.
• Collaborate with the wider finance team to meet departmental targets and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Service charge accounting experience in the property sector.
• Confident communicator with accountants and non-accountants.
• Comfortable taking on responsibility while working collaboratively.
• Quick learner with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent IT skills - Excel and Word; experience with Qube or similar systems is advantageous.

• Location: Marble Arch, London (Hybrid - 4 days in office)
• Hours: 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Holidays: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays plus Christmas shutdown
