About the Role
Senior Planning Manager - Major Infrastructure Project
Location: Hybrid and Immingham (with 2-3 days on-site per month)
Salary - Up to £80k plus car allowance, travel, bonus and an excellent benefits package

They are currently delivering a nationally significant infrastructure project - a technically complex programme including both landside development and a marine Ro-Ro jetty. As this project moves into delivery, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to lead on the client side, bringing deep construction delivery insight and leadership capability.
The Role
As a Senior Planning Manager, you will:
- Lead the planning function on a high-profile, complex infrastructure project.
- Ensure the effective planning, scheduling and monitoring of works from pre-construction through to delivery.
- Influence programme strategy and manage stakeholder expectations across a multi-disciplinary team.
- Work on-site in Immingham at least 2-3 days per month, supporting the delivery team and liaising with client and contractor stakeholders.
- Maintain the highest standards of health & safety, sustainability, quality, and project controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and management of the integrated master programme across all phases of the SCAH programme
- Develop fully resource- and cost-loaded schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and MS Project
- Oversee earned value management (EVM), performance tracking, and KPI reporting
- Conduct risk-based planning, scenario modelling, and time impact assessments to inform decision-making
- Collaborate with delivery, commercial, PMO, and technical leads to ensure alignment across workstreams
- Embed best practice planning and control methodologies across the programme
- Produce high-quality reporting outputs tailored to client, government, and executive stakeholders
- Support procurement strategy alignment, constructability planning, and digital reporting initiatives
- Mentor junior planners and foster a culture of excellence in programme management
What You'll Need
- Proven onsite infrastructure construction delivery experience
- Expertise in planning tools: Oracle Primavera P6, XER Toolkit
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including senior client interfacing
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure or property project lifecycles
- Professional membership (APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent)
