About the Role

An established and highly successful Strategic Land Promoter and Master Developer is looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join their in-house team in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-resourced business that plays a major role in shaping residential development across the UK.

With a strong pipeline of sites and an impressive track record of securing planning permissions for large-scale residential developments, the company is known for its commercial drive, planning expertise, and long-term approach to land promotion.

About the Role:

As a Senior Planner, you'll take ownership of a wide range of planning matters - from early-stage site promotion through to submission and appeal. Working closely with land, design, and technical teams, you'll be at the heart of unlocking strategic development opportunities across the country.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Preparing and managing planning applications, appeals, and representations to local plans
  • Engaging with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants
  • Identifying planning risks and opportunities across the strategic land portfolio
  • Working collaboratively across internal teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Supporting junior planners and contributing to the ongoing success of the planning function

What We're Looking For:

  • MRTPI qualified (or working towards it), with solid experience in either consultancy, developer, promoter or local government
  • A good understanding of the strategic land and residential planning process
  • Strong report writing, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Someone commercially aware, detail-driven, and ready to take the next step in their planning career

What's On Offer:

  • Join a stable, well-respected land promoter with a national presence
  • Get involved in some of the UK's most significant residential sites
  • A collaborative, high-performing environment with room to grow
  • Competitive salary, bonus scheme, and hybrid working options

Ready to move your career forward?

  • If you're a planner with a passion for large-scale development and a desire to work closer to the decision-making process, this is a brilliant next step.

Let's have a confidential chat.
