About the Role

The Role

A great opportunity for an experienced Project Surveyor to lead on cladding, fire safety and latent defect remediation projects across a residential portfolio. You'll manage major remedial works from inception to completion, act as a technical specialist, and work closely with residents, contractors and internal teams. The role includes regular evening and occasional weekend meetings to support resident engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver cladding, fire safety and latent defect remediation projects.

- Lead work packages ensuring quality, cost and programme targets are achieved.

- Carry out surveys, produce technical documentation and oversee design solutions.

- Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety standards and CDM duties.

- Manage contractors and consultants; administer JCT contracts.

- Communicate clearly with residents and stakeholders, handling queries and complaints.

- Prepare project reports and support risk, cost and quality management.

 

Ideal Candidate

- Degree/NVQ in Building Surveying, Construction Management or similar.

- Chartered (RICS, CIOB or equivalent).

- Strong experience in cladding remediation, fire safety or major refurbishment.

- Excellent technical knowledge of building regulations, fire safety and cladding systems.

- Confident managing contractors, consultants and multiple work streams.

- Clear communicator able to explain technical matters simply.

- Organised, proactive, customer-focused and able to work independently.

- Strong IT and numerical skills.

 

Desirable

- Fire safety qualifications (NEBOSH Fire, Level 4/5 Diplomas, IFE membership).

- Experience with building control, invoice systems and large-scale resident engagement.
