Technical Project Manager

A leading property and development consultancy has just secured major new work in the Midlands and is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their Birmingham team.

The Role:

Deliver large-scale residential & mixed-use developments
Pre-planning, technical due diligence & infrastructure delivery
Client-facing role supporting leading housebuilders
3-6 month contract, with scope to go temp-to-perm

Ideal Candidate

The ideal person will bring a blend of technical knowledge and project management experience.

Specifically, they should have:

Seniority: Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level (not junior).
Technical background: A design background or degree in civil engineering, with strong practical experience in housebuilding.
Specialist knowledge: A solid understanding of highway agreements and drainage agreements, as well as infrastructure-led delivery.
Residential focus: Experience managing strategic residential housing sites (low-rise, large-scale schemes rather than apartments).
Industry experience: Ideally from a housebuilder; otherwise, consultancy/design backgrounds with housebuilding exposure will be considered.
Location & flexibility: Midlands-based, with 3 days in the Birmingham office/sites and 2 days working from home.
