Technical Services Manager - West End Portfolio

Cobalt is recruiting for a Technical Services Manager to join a leading Managing Agent, taking responsibility for the technical management of a portfolio of prestigious commercial office buildings across London's West End.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TSM with a strong building services background to take ownership of engineering delivery across several high-profile properties.

Working alongside Building Managers and Property Managers, you will act as the technical lead for the portfolio, managing M&E service partners, compliance, maintenance, projects and lifecycle works while ensuring each building operates safely, efficiently and to the standards expected of prime West End offices.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee technical and engineering services across a portfolio of prestigious commercial office buildings.

• Manage M&E and specialist contractors, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.

• Oversee planned preventative and reactive maintenance across mechanical and electrical plant.

• Ensure statutory compliance and engineering-related health & safety requirements are maintained.

• Carry out regular technical audits and inspections across the portfolio.

• Review RAMS, permits to work and relevant technical and compliance documentation.

• Provide technical support and guidance to Building Managers and Property Managers.

• Oversee plant replacement, lifecycle, refurbishment and capital expenditure projects.

• Support the preparation and management of engineering, maintenance and lifecycle budgets.

• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, plant performance and building resilience.

• Manage relationships with clients, occupiers, consultants and service partners.

About you:

You will have previous experience as a Technical Services Manager, Technical Facilities Manager, Engineering Manager or similar, ideally gained within commercial property.

A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services, PPM, statutory compliance and contractor management is essential, alongside the ability to confidently manage multiple properties and stakeholders.
