About the Role
We have partnered with a growing, dynamic consultancy seeking a Transport Planner to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals in development-related transport planning to accelerate their careers within a forward-thinking, employee-focused organisation.
The Role
You will join a vibrant and supportive team, contributing to a wide range of development planning projects across the UK. With tailored support from experienced colleagues, you will gain exposure to every aspect of transport planning, including:
- Collecting and analysing traffic data from external sources
- Assessing site accessibility across various transport modes
- Preparing Technical Notes, Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement chapters
- Producing technical drawings and using GIS tools to enhance reports and outputs
- Undertaking junction capacity modelling and supporting in the design of highway improvement schemes
- Participating in site visits and helping to develop sustainable transport strategies
Desired Candidate Profile
You'll bring a solid foundation in transport planning and a proactive approach to learning and collaboration.
- Educational background in Geography, Transport Planning, Town Planning, Civil Engineering or related
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective technical writing and presentation abilities
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for sustainable transport and infrastructure development
