About me
My Cobalt Journey
Having trained as a Police Officer in Dorset I was fortunate enough to meet Adam Walker, one of Cobalt’s Founders, at a family gathering at Christmas, many moons ago, who convinced me that a life in recruitment and living in London beckoned.
I started out managing our Interim desk focused on Town Planningand Real Estatebefore moving to Asia where I set up our new Singapore office. After nearly nine years leading the regional business and executing senior mandates I returned to London where I am now UK Managing Director.
It is my job to ensure that we have a clear vision for the UK business and helping the guys to excel and exceed expectations in reaching these goals without compromising our values and the culture of who we are.
Driving high performance through culture
The most motivating aspect of my job is working with the exceptional people we already have in Cobalt to achieve their professional or personal goals. I am fortunate to work with this outstanding group, where trust, honesty and accountability help us to set and meet some ambitious targets. That and attracting new talent to our business as we all want to be proud of who we work with, driving high performance through culture.
Golf, Rugby, Wine and Crypto!
Having grown up in a rugby-mad family with 3 brothers I cannot hide that Wales rugby is one of my deepest passions, that and a crazy obsession with punishing myself by endlessly trying to conquer golf.
In the world of finance, I have a newfound interest in cryptocurrencies, and I try hard not to blend this with my love of fine wine as the results tend never to be too good.
