Accountant Clerk

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: London - Hybrid

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

My client is a well-respected and very large business within capital markets, looking for a talented individual who has a background in, and is actively pursuing, an ACCA qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing trial balances and financial statements for Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs)

• Post journal entries, including cash transactions, accruals, prepayments, revenue, and expenses

• Assist in completing and filing VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns, and iXBRL-tagged financials

• Contribute to the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts

• Strong focus on completing Debits and Credits accurately

• Liaise with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

Key Skills:

• Committed to, or actively pursuing, ACCA qualification with a view of being completed in 2026/2027

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles (debits and credits)

• Conscientious and diligent with high attention to detail

• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
