Cobalt are working with a NHS Trust in Cheshire to recruit a permanent Asset and Sustainability Manager, offering an annual salary of £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all leases, licenses, accommodation and all aspects of sustainability including energy, environment and statutory information returns; responsible for the managing the delivery of compliant high quality, safe, efficient and value for money services.

You will have significant NHS property experience within an Integrated or Community Trust setting and shall manage some of the most complex and extraordinary agreements within healthcare property management.

You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of an estate rationalisation process across the entire Trust portfolio spanning across the whole of Cheshire in over 60 locations. You shall then undertake effective asset and accommodation management under the new CCG tendering services models.

The post holder will be responsible for all energy and environmental functions including all statutory information returns and obligations such as CRC, SDU, ERIC, etc.

You will hold a key senior managerial role within the Estates function with a budget in excess of £5.5M and will lead by example providing a professional, positive customer focused ethos and will strive to deliver high quality outcomes.

You will have / be:

  • Educated to Masters Level or above with evidence of further postgraduate qualifications in the appropriate discipline.

  • Qualification or significant professional experience in energy management and project management.

  • Significant knowledge of key specialist areas across a number of functions, such as: Asset Management specifically in Healthcare, Energy & Sustainability, Quality Management and Legal Contracts.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in NHS Property Management at a senior organisational level.

  • Experience to design in HTM specifications.

  • Previous experience of working across external stakeholder boundaries.

  • Self-motivated and have the ability to be positive, enthusiastic and confident.

  • Excellent communication/listening skills with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Commitment to partnership working.
