Cobalt is looking for an ambitious Assistant Building Manager to help manage a large-scale, modern commercial development in Leeds city centre. Our client is an esteemed real estate business with structured pathways for progression involving both internal and external training courses - making this your ideal platform for further progression in facilities, building, and workplace management. Within this role, you will be working with the on-site team to assist in the management of a sleek, sustainable multi-let office building with great transport links.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Assisting with the day to day operational management of the building and services within in;

  • Conducting site inspections and walk throughs;

  • Assisting with management of service charge budgets;

  • Supporting the building manager in managing both hard and soft service contractors, taking autonomy for areas of this over time;

  • Being based on front desk, and acting as a key point of liaison for your occupiers, in order to provide a first-class property service;

  • Helping to ensure a comprehensive maintenance programme is in place for the building, covering both planned and reactive maintenance, to the building plant and fabric;

  • Ensuring the building remains fully compliant with Health and safety requirements, ensuring it is a safe, sustainable environment in which to work.

Our client is seeking an individual with a background in facilities and property management who is keen to learn and develop themselves within a market-leading business. Ideally, you will have some form of experience assisting with building management previously, either as a fully fledged Assistant FM, but equally front of house staff or Facilities Admin/Coordinators will be considered if they can show a strong awareness of the principles of Facilities Management. An IOSH qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
