Cobalt is representing a prominent Managing Agent as they seek a Building Manager for a newly redeveloped, Grade A office building in Manchester. Our client is a well-established brand in the property world, having cemented their position as a property giant over the years.

This role will see you taking the lead on the daily operations within a circa 120,000 sq. ft. asset, that is set to be home to a host of corporate occupiers. You will play a key part in driving the ESG strategy forward, alongside managing the on-site contractors for both hard and soft services to ensure the delivery of a first-class FM service.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular inspections of the site whilst instructing repairs where necessary.

  • Ensuring a comprehensive planned maintenance programme is in place for the plant and fabric of the building;

  • Ensuring full compliance with UK health & safety legislation;

  • Managing the work of outsourced suppliers, including having input into the procurement/tendering process where need arises;

  • Developing lasting working relationships with key stakeholders - especially your tenants to ensure a first-class FM service is provided.

Our client represents the chance to grow within an industry-leading brand on an upwards trajectory and become an integral part of an organisation challenging the status quo of the FM world. You will bring previous experience in managing a portfolio/building, whilst having experience in working closely with your tenants. An IOSH/NEBOSH qualification is essential for this role.
