Chartered Building Surveyor - JN 72934

Our client carries out a wide range of traditional building surveying work and project management in the residential sector. Due to organic growth they are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to carry out a broad range of activities, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

The successful applicant will need to manage a busy and varied workload and must be MRICS qualified with experience in both the residential sector. They must be professionally confident, outgoing and have good interpersonal skills.

Remuneration:

Salary - £45,000 - £65,000 plus performance related bonus. Benefits are to be confirmed.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out surveys of residential properties, ranging from modest local flats to large, high-end properties in Central London and in the Home Counties.

  • Project management and contract administration, including writing schedules of work and specifications

  • Assist the Junior Building Surveyors

  • Defect diagnosis and inspections

  • Party wall work

  • Dilapidations

  • General building surveying work

  • Architectural design and input

Requirements:

  • MRICS mandatory

  • Level 3 full residential building survey experience

  • The ability to use CAD or Sketchup would be an advantage

  • UK drivers' license

Although the office is in Surrey, a lot of their work is around London and neighbouring counties. There will be some flexibility with working from home.
