Commercial Finance Analyst

Cobalt are currently working with one of Europe's premium real estate companies, with a large portfolio of flagship assets, spread across major cities in their search Financial Planning Analyst, to work closely with the Head of FP&A in this exciting newly created role.
The Financial Planning Analyst will be involved and leading all aspects of the financial modelling of the property and corporate scenarios and be expected to present this information to senior stakeholders to influence the Group decision making processes.
Key Responsibilities
Undertake and develop financial modelling to assess the financial impact of different scenarios for both the property and corporate level modelling requirements
Support the internal and external review of financial models by various external stakeholders
Preparation of the Group's annual Business Plan, mid-year Forecasts and other ad hoc forecasts for use by the group decision makers
Production of the quarterly Group financial reporting (management accounts, finance report etc.) which include presentation of results, variance analysis and commentary to explain differences to forecasts
Partner with the Investment team to undertake analysis of potential investment and divestment scenarios to assess the impact on the performance of the Group's property portfolio
Undertake financial modelling to support individual investment transactions
Requirements for the role
Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA (Big 4 Practice trained is desirable not essential)
Strong financial Excel modelling experience including developing own models for real estate investments
Proven knowledge of working with third parties to design and deliver modelling solutions
Good understanding of financial and management accounting
Effective organisation skills with a track record of reporting and forecasting
Ability to effective present and communication output with all levels of the organisation, including colleagues outside of finance
