Cost Engineer / Schedule Engineer - Oil & Gas

The client

Cobalt Recruitment is excited to be working with a Saudi Arabia-based, leading energy, oil and gas and sustainability operator and development business that is expanding throughout their construction and project teams throughout their regions.

Our client has engaged us to source a Contracts Advisor across all levels to work across their expanding portfolio and to ensure their schemes are best in class in line with the organisation's business plan.

The Role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join their Project Management team (PMT). The Project Management Teams are directly responsible and accountable for the delivery of best-in-class capital projects assigned to department. Their PMT are directly involved in executing and managing assigned projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of integrity and compliance. This will involve engineering design, procurement and construction of various sizes, types, and complexity of small, medium to multi-billion-dollar mega-size projects.

As the successful Cost Engineer, you will:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognised university.

  • You will have a minimum of fifteen years cost engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery projects or facilities, with at least ten years in managing project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting; and financial reporting with a Broad, multi-discipline knowledge and experience of cost engineering for Oil and Gas projects.

  • A certification from a professional organisation is highly recommended.

  • You will have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

  • You must understand contract administration principles and best practices.

  • You will demonstrate a dynamic attitude towards process improvements

  • You will have the flexibility to work in multinational teams and mobilise to different locations, including remote areas as needed.
