Deputy Head of Finance

Band 8a

£200 - £250 per day (Umbrella)

Cobalt recruitment have an exciting interim position based in the Cambridgeshire area. An NHS trust has an excellent opportunity for a Deputy Head of Finance within the finance department.

The ideal candidate will have strong finance experience and have worked previously within NHS organisation. The post holder should hold a CCAB qualification and worked within financial management or management accounting role.

Job Summary

The post holder will be expected to provide analytical support to the Head of Finance. You would be expected to provide the finance function at management & operational meetings and support with strategic financial and business planning in line with objectives.

The Deputy Head of Finance must ensure that statutory NHS and other returns confirm to national accounting standards and meet the nation and trust timescales. They would be expected to provide their expect knowledge on issues in context with NHS trust policies and procedures.

You would be responsible for the management of financial reports and supporting and advising senior members of the business teams. The post holder would also be expected to provide input to strategic planning in line with setting the annual budget and forecasting.
