Drafter - Bridge, Civil and Structural

Role: Civil/Structural/Bridge Drafter
Location: London
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000

Cobalt is working with an award-winning, employee-owned consulting engineering practice working internationally. Their engineering services incorporate designs for infrastructure, building structures, civil engineering, facades, and construction support.

Key Responsibilities:
This position will mainly work with bridge engineers for design modelling of bridges and infrastructure related structures.
* Design delivery. Preparation of drawings and other documents

Key Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of drafting experience in which at least 3 years of relevant experience in using computer tools for drafting and/or BIM modelling, e.g. AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D / Revit / Navisworks, Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads Designer
* Work independently to prepare drawings for the following elements of design:
o Bridges
o Approach structures (earthworks and retaining walls)
o Elements of road design including drainage, road barriers etc...
* RC and PT detailing
* Steelwork details
* Experience with BBS will be an advantage
* Ability to make decisions, act on your own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
* Good organisational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well under pressure
* Relevant experience in rendering, animation, visualisation, e.g. 3DS Max, LumenRT, photoshop will be an advantage

Qualification
* Diploma / Certificate in Civil Engineering from Technical Institute(s) or equivalent
* Attendance of BIM professional certificates/training courses from Technical Institute(s) / software companies(s) will be an advantage
