Cobalt is working with one of the premier names within Real Estate Financial Services in their search for a newly created role for ESG Sustainability Director. This crucial role will be working with the key stakeholders in the business to assess and design the strategy around the impending risks as well as exciting growth opportunities

This role will work closely with the board in ensuring that the global ESG strategy is being implemented across all divisions in line with incredible success this business has seen across the Uk and Europe

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of the ESG governance structure to support the ambitions of and delivery internally and externally

  • Develop an ambitious, commercially focused ESG strategy to engage with all parties to bolster revenue generation

  • Work with the individual sectors embed the ESG strategy, and oversee development of products and services to ensure objectives are realised

  • Engage with the wider Group to exchange best practice, build following and generate new ESG related business

  • Actively promote ESG as a spokesperson for the business including Board presentations, panel speaking and media publications

  • Grow and develop understanding of Biodiversity and Community value in delivery of sustainability advice and be alert to changing requirements of government, communities and clients

Key Requirements

  • A track record of working in complex commercial organisations to strategic business plans is essential

  • ESG experience is not essential for this role, although an understanding would be of highly preferential

  • An understanding of Real Estate and the Built Environment

  • Ability to innovative solutions to problems

  • Ability to present to senior business and large audiences

  • Change management
