Estates Manager

Cobalt Recruitment are working with a large NHS Trust in the North West to recruit an interim Hard FM Estates Manager for an initial 6-12 month contract, paying £28.00-32.00 per hour LTD rate (inside IR35, via Umbrella Company) depending on experience.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an evolving team that is shaping the future Estates provision to deliver excellent patient care. You will have a proven track record in all areas of Estates management with the ability to manage the outsourced Hard FM contract and challenge the provider to continuously improve and innovate.

You will be required to have excellent customer-facing communication, combined with the necessary technical skills and knowledge to carry out the role and be comfortable managing a varied and busy workload.

You will have/be:

  • 5+ years experience as an Estates Manager / Hard FM Contract Manager within a healthcare setting.

  • Qualified to Degree / HNC level to a Building Services Engineering related discipline (Mechanical or Electrical).

  • 5+ years experience managing outsourced Hard FM contracts effectively and efficiently.

  • Ability to manage the Estate to be fully compliant and, maintenance services in accordance with Statutory Obligations, Codes of Practice and Department of Health Guidelines (HTMs).

  • Able to monitor performance and compliance against engineering statutory obligations including all mandatory testing of equipment and plant for which Estates have responsibility. This will be achieved by using the information on service provision from in-house labour and asset management systems, contractor's performance records and outside specialist advice to validate the information.

  • Ability to maintain the Estates risk register, develop, implement mitigations and contingency plans.

  • Regular specialist compliance audits of procedures and performance will be undertaken. Consisting of inspections and reports.

  • To act as Estates Technical Adviser to the Trust, on all estates related issues.

  • Excellent communicator at all levels.
