Cobalt is working alongside a well-respected SME property company who, due to sustained growth, is looking for their first in-house FM. Having enjoyed a long period of success in the industry, our client is up-sizing their commercial space by moving to a slick, modern new office in the City of London and so is looking for someone who can lead the total FM provision across their tenanted floorspace as well as spearheading new initiatives on sustainability and wellbeing within the company.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coordinating essential site services for both hard and soft facilities management including maintenance of building fabric and HVAC, cleaning, H&S, procurement, utilities, and security etc;

  • Procurement and management of outsourced suppliers;

  • Ensuring a safe and secure workplace for your colleagues, ensuring H&S compliance is met at all times, with risk assessments in place for all necessary works;

  • Alongside HR, spearheading the initiatives to increase employee wellbeing in the workplace, whilst taking the lead on introducing new sustainability initiatives for the business;

  • Project managing the office relocation and any necessary fit-out/office moves in future;

  • Undertaking induction processes for new employees including DSE Assessments.

Our client is a growing business with a presence throughout the UK, and this role is intended to grow alongside the business, giving this hire a long term strategic input into the FM for the company. Our client is looking for an emotionally intelligent, strong character, who can bring together stakeholders at every level in order to get results. An IOSH qualification is a minimum standard for H&S, as in prior experience managing commercial tenanted floorspace.
