Cobalt is looking for a Facilities Manager to join a well-established and regarded outsourced provider in managing a first class educational facility. This property is aimed predominantly at further learning and boasts a variety of amenities on-site, all within a bustling West-End location with great transport links. You'll lead the on-site team of both in-house and sub-contracted staff in delivering a first class FM service, within a role offering a great work life balance alongside a strong platform for progression.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Act as the main point of contact for the building and liaise with client representatives as required;

  • To work collaboratively and proactively with the client to ensure the effective operational management of the building and services provided within it;

  • Manage as required any sub-contractors engaged in the delivery of services on-site;

  • Ensure the delivery of a Reactive and Planned Maintenance Service;

  • Ensure complete compliance with H&S regulations and requirements, carrying out checks as required and assisting with site inspections;

  • Carry out Health & Safety checks as required across facilities and services and assist in scheduled site inspections;

  • Actively participate in all internal and external audits;

  • Maintain expenditure details for all budgets, ensuring best value is achieved at all times;

  • Deliver relevant induction for new staff.

Our client is looking for an individual with experience in managing an entire property previously, including common areas and plant rooms - whilst prior exposure to managing educational facilities would be advantageous. You will be confident liaising with clients, and overseeing contractors, whilst able to handle to responsibility of being the key decision maker on site.
