Cobalt is working with a major player in UK Real Estate as they look to hire a forward-thinking Facilities Manager for a commercial estate in the borough of Kensington & Chelsea. Primarily made up of commercial multi-let office buildings with attached retail amenities, the site is an innovative hub of modern properties, and requires a FM with a modern approach to the role - marrying quality technical skills with a service-driven ethos.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking sole responsibility for the operational management of 2 office buildings, whilst assisting with the wider estate;

  • Providing a comprehensive planned maintenance programme for building plant and fabric, whilst overseeing any reactive works that may arise;

  • Ensuring full H&S compliance on site, signing off risk assessments for necessary works, and conducting regular site inspections;

  • Setting, managing, and reconciling the service charge budgets for the site;

  • Managing the work of key service providers across hard and soft FM service lines;

  • Engaging with key tenant representatives, and other stakeholders in order to provide a first-class total FM service and build lasting working relationships.

Our client is looking for an individual with a background in managing entire properties and common areas for an established real estate business - service charge budget experience is essential. You will be IOSH or NEBOSH qualified, whilst an IWFM membership/qualification would be received well. However, equally importantly will be the enthusiasm and general attitude you bring to the role, embodying a philosophy of "continuous improvement" - which will see you go far within a market-leading real estate business.
