Finance Business Partner

Cobalt are working with one of real estate's best known companies, currently seeking at Finance Business Partner to join their team.

This role sits within the commercial finance team, working very closely with the Head of Commercial Finance on all decision making within the operations team, as well as business partner senior stakeholders and 'C' suite profiles.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Act as business partner to Portfolio Directors and senior management, providing support and constructive challenge around deal negotiations and commercial terms

• Monitoring and reviewing the P&L performance of each asset in the portfolio ensuring key performance drivers are understood and risks/opportunities are acted upon promptly.

• Prepare customer and lease appraisals for new lettings to provide insight into the covenant strength of the new occupier and the financial impact of commercial terms agreed.

• Work alongside the Reporting & Accounting team to interpret and explain the property level financial performance across Subscale for internal and external reporting.

• Business partner the Portfolio Director and support the team to deliver the annual budget and five year plan and quarterly flash forecasts for the Subscale segment.

• Provide review and guidance on relevant properties, validating the reasonableness of assumptions and challenging the business.

• Produce monthly revenue profit vs budget / forecast management reports, to include a full property level review of portfolio rental income and costs, as well as fully explain variances to budget / forecast.

• Hold monthly meetings with the portfolio team to review the revenue profit reports and identify risks and opportunities, and follow up actions required.

Key experience required:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

• Previous business partnering experience

• Strong commercial acumen

• Experience working within real estate/ property

• Strong business partnering / stakeholder management

• Strong Excel skills and problem solving abilities

• Attention to detail
