Cobalt are working with an entrepreneurial, innovative and collaborative residential investor/ developer, currently seeking a Finance Manager to join the team. Our client has taken on new joint ventures with some of the biggest names within real estate and has also purchased large amounts of land in and around London to continue the development of new projects for first time buyers.

Our client is looking for someone who is a proactive and driven individual who wants to gain exposure to a great company, as well as senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts with commentaries against budget.

  • Preparation of Joint Venture corporate MI in a timely manner and in line with the reporting timetable Lead on all acquisition, disposal and group re-organisation accounting and financial reporting.

  • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, as well as ensure they are accurate at all times and reconciled to the general ledger. You will also oversee the preparation of weekly payment runs derived from accounts payable.

  • Manage the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process and ensure that all adjustments are posted in a timely manner. Key reconciliations include bank, AP, AR, intercompany, WIP and debt.

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for all group entities. Manage information flow and act as a main point of contact for external auditors and ensure relevant reporting timetables are met.

  • Assist the finance director with the annual budget setting process and hold monthly meetings with budget holders to ensure accurate re-forecasting.

Required technical knowledge / Skills

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)

  • Previous experience in real estate..

  • Able to work autonomously.

  • A positive attitude and a sense of satisfaction.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management.

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Teams.
