Fire Safety Advisor

Cobalt are working with a NHS Trust in West London to recruit a Fire Safety Specialist, Band 7 on a 4-6 month interim contract.

Our client is looking for someone to promote fire safety compliance throughout the Trust and ensure that all premises maintain high standards of fire precautions.

The successful candidate will establish, manage and coordinate the provision of fire risk assessments, audits and inspections and maintain records of such for the Trust's premises.

You will have/be:

  • Expected to travel extensively across multiple Trust sites i to support both clinical and non-clinical.

  • A Proven and previous experience in the completion of Fire Risk Assessments.

  • A self-motivated, highly organised individual with a helpful, approachable, and supporting manner, to successfully deliver this essential and challenging role.

  • Recognisable and professional qualification in fire safety management and fire risk assessments from creditable providers such as the Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association and NEBOSH.

  • Experience of Fire Management within a large and complex organisation.

  • 2 years' experience in a healthcare organisation.

  • Experience of working across a large estate with multiple sites.

  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites as required within and beyond Trust boundaries.

  • Required to coordinate and deliver Fire Evacuation exercises (use of ski sleds and extinguishers) and will be required to use physical effort as part of this process.

  • Hold a full driving license.

  • An accomplished leader.

  • Effective communicator at all levels.
