Fund Accountant

£75,000-85,000 p.a. plus bonus

Hybrid, London/ Luxembourg

We are partnering with one of the largest real estate investment managers globally in their search for an experienced Fund Accountant to join their fast-growing team and be based either in London or Luxembourg.

The Fund Accountant will be primarily responsible for the fund reporting of European and global funds investing in various real estate asset classes. This is an exciting opportunity to join a multi-billion investment manager that acquires, develops, and manages properties over the world and be part of a highly regarded and successful team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with third parties and internal teams on quarterly reporting

  • Overview third parties' work and assure the European Fund models update and investment KPI calculations are accurate and in a timely manner

  • Review of US GAAP annual financial statements and capital account statements, management of audit processes

  • Provide investor reporting, answering ad-hoc requests

  • Coordinating credit line and investor drawdowns and repayments/distributions, creating budgets and cashflows, being part of the invoice and payment approval process to assure liquidity management across all funds

  • Proving operational support, ensuring existing processes with internal and external teams are effective or improved if required to minimise operational risk

  • Coordinate the administration of the investment or divestment process at Fund level with internal teams and service providers

  • Responsible for overview and delivery of statutory, regulatory and tax filings

  • Ensure compliance with LPA, AIFM, Depositary requirements

Key requirements for this role:

  • Excellent academics, including ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification

  • Prior experience within a real estate investment management or a private equity firm; or experience in audit with exposure to real estate funds or private equity

  • Strong analytical mindset; an understanding of fund models would be advantageous

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people at all levels of seniority
