General Manager

Cobalt is looking for a General Manager to take ownership of a modern mixed-use development in the City of London on a 12 month fixed-term basis. You'll lead the on-site team in providing a comprehensive total FM service within a 300,000 sq ft commercial asset, within one of London's most vibrant environments - all whilst working for a major player of the UK Facilities Management industry that would boost the profile of any CV.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the proactive total FM provision across all aspects of this mixed-use asset;

  • Leading the on-site team, including direct line reports and contractors for both hard and soft FM provision;

  • Setting and managing the service charge budget;

  • Ensuring the maintenance of the building plant and fabric, including CAPEX works where necessary;

  • Ensuring a quality customer experience within the building;

  • Promoting a proactive H&S culture and looking to improve sustainability where possible.

Our client is looking for an individual with a background in managing complete properties, including common areas, with an IOSH/NEBOSH qualification to support H&S knowledge. Whilst a contract role, our client is always on the look for top-tier total facilities professionals, and so there is a strong chance of a permanent position following this role.
