Head of Facilities Management

Cobalt is seeking a Head of Facilities Management for one of the UK's standout residential development projects. Boasting modern design, excellent transport links, and quality amenities for leisure and retail, this upcoming cosmopolitan community is already home to thousands, with more properties PC'ing over the coming years to turn this into one of London's pre-eminent residential hubs.

Due to the growth of the scheme, our client is seeking their first Head of FM, to work hand in glove with the established team in order to provide an unrivalled first class total FM provision throughout the estate.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the in-house and outsourced hard and soft service functions, in addition to procuring additional services for the management of the buildings;

  • Producing life-cycle costings and refurbishment programmes and budgets, in addition to working closely with the construction teams for the soft-landings process with upcoming buildings;

  • Exploring further opportunities to drive increased sustainability within the business;

  • Ensuring full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, ensuring all works are carried out in line with CDM regulations, and have appropriate RAMS in place;

  • Ensuring the effective maintenance of building plant, fabric, and public realm.

  • Liaising closely with Development Teams, as well as the Construction, Leasing, Finance and Procurement departments.

Our client is looking for a leader, with a wealth of experience managing total FM functions for large scale developments, estates and buildings. Ideally you will have a background in either hospitality or residential Facilities Management, as a key appreciation of the resident experience and eye for detail will be crucial. You will be confident acting autonomously and as the point of escalation in case of emergencies, whilst a NEBOSH qualification is essential.
